Stress Relief with Singing and Reiki
I am a Reiki Level II Practitioner as well as a Vocal Music Teacher. If you are struggling with stress, I am happy to work with you energetically and creatively to support you.
Singing and Reiki have been the most powerful tools for my self-healing for intense emotions and stress. These tools may help you to connect to your “higher self” (your wise self or your best self) and to Spirit to release negative energies and emotions. The idea is to fill your body and mind with positive energy and peace. It is my hope with your sessions that you will find more joy in your life and stress relief.*
The focus of these lessons is less on sounding your absolute best and more of a focus on what feels good to you. The good news is, good singing technique usually feels good for the body and the mind!
I strongly encourage my students to give feedback to let me know which songs feel good to sing and which songs do not. I strive to focus on the techniques that help your stress level, based on your honest feedback.
10 Stress Management Techniques I Use:
- Teaching you to sing chants and mantras (or other songs feel deeply meaningful or spiritual to you).
- Teaching you breathing exercises to slow and deepen the breath and to improve singing technique.
- Teaching you how to sing better for the hope of creating more joy in your life.
- Helping you write songs to express yourself.
- Giving you Reiki sessions (this can be done remotely, via Zoom) to support you energetically.*
- Leading you in guided meditations and affirmations.
- Helping you find music that helps you express your feelings.
- Teaching you to sing freely and without strain for the sake of your vocal health and your enjoyment.
- Guiding you to release tension in your body to improve your posture and improve your singing.
- Creating a joyful, nurturing, and fun environment to express yourself creatively!
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Reiki is a spiritual practice and helps with stress relief for some people. If you are having a medical problem, please note that you should see a doctor. I am happy to play a role in your life by providing energetic and creative support, but do not use our sessions as a replacement for seeing a medical professional for physical or mental health issues. We will be using stress relieving techniques which may or may not work for some people. Always consult with a medical professional if you experience physical or emotional discomfort of any kind.
